FIFA PS3 - Load issues?

Just want to check if it's a common issue or if it's my PS3 or disc causing it.

When I boot up FIFA09, when it brings up the menu, it will freeze for a second or two and then be fine. And when choosing teams in 10v10 online, it will quite often crash all together.

Anyone else had this problem? Would it be worth deleting all data and reinstalling? (Does FIFA even install anything other than save settings?)

My 360 version does the above systems but generaly just crashes at the load screen but then will load sometimes only way i fixed it was install to 360 hdd. I put it down to my disc yet the disc doesnt look bad at all. Maybe yours is a bit borked too?

Doesnt help too much i know, i Just hope none of my PS3 games develop a similar fault as PS3 doesnt allow full game installs
