Fifa vs Pes

In my opinion, Fifa beats PES hands down. It doesn't come close in any department.

People just need to give Fifa the time of day to realise how much better it is.
 
I have played Pes for the last 4 yrs.

But, I was let down by Pes last yr, mainly online. So i got the 09 demo , and i loved it.

Bought it on friday, and i also got the PES Demo.

Wow, its really gone down hill this yr. Really rubbish.

Fifa seems to have won this year. Great game

PES was unstoppable around late 90s early 00s but time after time nothing improved, EA have pumped some money into the game and made it dare I say better than what PES was in its pomp.
 
Pro Evo - and by some distance for me.

I've always been an ISS/Pro man any way, but I love the Pro demo.

Gotta say the Fifa demo did impress me though - and on Friday night I went round my mates house and played Fifa (full game) for about 5-6 hours.

Just didnt get into it at all and I was craving some PES after!

I have to say though IMO it's just down to your preferance this year, play both demos/rent both and make your choice - there isn't much between them

But for the core gameplay alone - Pro still comes out on top for me.
 
IMO pro by a landslide, the movement + control in fifa seems to have been the same for ages and I feel so detached from the players, it does look a lot shinier + more polished though if that's your thing (although this year pes i feel looks loads better than last year's shoddy attempt, the gameplay is quite significantly different too, it's more like a cross between old pro and new fifa)
 
FIFA. No contest.

I'm a PES player of the last four years and I found the demo for PES2009 horrible. So much so that I think PES2008 is better than 2009!
 
Plays better - Pro Evo (always has)
Looks better - Fifa (always has)

Unforuntely imo Fifa 09 has balancing issues and still lacks the opponent AI that PES has always been renowned for.

IMO apart from a few tweaks here and there Fifa 09 really hasn't moved forward much from 08, yet thankfully last years issues (graphically/Framerate mainly) have improved somewhat with the latest PES.
 
I've been a Pro Fan throughout the series but after reading all the feedback on fifa here and trying out the demo I decided to buy it today. I've only played 2/3 games but so far I''ve been impressed and am looking forward to finding out more about the game.....however I don't think it's fair to run a poll yet because Pro might be significantly different to the demo version when it is finally released
