Fifa vs Pes

Pro evo for me, tried Fifa full game and it just aint my cup of tea, I suppose its just my style. I know the full version of PES wont be drastically different to the demo, but should we not reserve some comments until it actually comes out.

Nokkonwud why do you always make 3 posts in a row when you could easily compile them into one, you do love getting your "point" across all the time...

Imo PES requires more skill, especially when you face a decent oppoenent compared to fifa.
 
After just trying the PES demo i have to go with Fifa.

Pro evo 2009 is is garbage, the animations are garbage. I was sat here actually laughing at how Ronaldo runs with the ball, like he's in a semi crouch posistion....? The players animations just don't seem fluid/smooth at all. Also it's the same as the previous next gen games, easy peasy on the hardest difficulty, anyone who says it takes more skill is mad! I can't believe how amazing PES was from the mega drive to the PS2 but on this gen it is shocking.

All imo, please dont' cry PES fanboys.

Can you please upload a video of you "owning" the opposition on the hardest difficulty on PES please.

I in no way offended you by insisting you were garbage at anything, its just that you say its easy and probably tried the demo like two times.
 
No, you responded in a 'OMG he said something bad about PES' way.

I have found all current gen PES games to be a lot easier than Fifa on the hardest settings, sorry that i'm different to you.

Maybe we just have different syle of how we play and my style makes PES easier and yours makes Fifa easier?

How am i a fanboy because i prefer fifa? i've always preferd PES from was back when it was ISS on the mega drive all way through to PS2.

I actually hope PES does badly this year because it took dwindling sales and poor reviews before EA did something about Fifa, and look how much that has helped the game!

If PES sells badly it will force Konami to make significant changes rather than being lazy and just trying to tweak the previous years game. No doubt that the new PES is better than last years version, but it is still nowhere near Fifa at the moment. The first Fifa I played since Fifa '96 was '08, and that was mainly because PES 2008 was such garbage, so I want PES to be good as much as the next person.

It's just the way you post, very defensive of fifa and quick to attack pes, standard stuff. Very plain to see for anyone who is objective.

I'm hoping for the same also as PES doesn't deserve to be this bad after how amazing it was previous gen.

Quick to attack a game which i don't feel is anywhere near as it used to be? i'm hardly going to say it's amazing when it's not:confused:

Of course i'm going to defend fifa over PES as i feel it's the better game, i'm hardly going to say it's crap when i like it am i? I'm not saying fifa doesn't have it faults as it does and a lot of them also. I just feel PES faults outway those of fifa. PES imo needs a real overhaul as it just isn't as good as it could/should be.

To be honest mate, it's incredibly easy to defend FIFA and attack PES this year because they're light-years apart :p

Like I said, I've never really had a favourite of the two ever since the megadrive days of "International Superstar Soccer: DELUXE" (:D) and always liked them both, PES was better at one point and FIFA is ahead now.

I'm really dumbfounded how the regular people that get behind PES each year are saying it's better by saying it's more arcade like which is what people used to say made FIFA crap all years before.

PES went through a phase when it was miles ahead, and I don't think anyone will argue that. There was a year or two when they were close (FIFA07 on the 360 for me was a big step in the right direction), 08 FIFA probably edged it and 09 FIFA is ahead easily.
 
being arcadey does not make a game crap, fifa was crap for years not because it was arcadey but because it was crap, arcade games can be fun and i would not say pro evo is arcade anyway fifa has plenty of aracdey moments also with some bizarre physic defying headers and shooting they just play a bit differently thats all and some prefer the feel of pes to fifa and most games reviews seem to place them about the same so all it comes down to is personal opinion really
 
I find the mechanics of Pro a lot better and faster paced imo, its raw but I generally find it more fun to play. Cant say ive ever slated FIFA for being arcadey I just geniuenly thought they sucked overall up until 07/08. Graphics and animations dont bother me much with footy games which probably helps with PES, the 08 crowd was LOL funny! Horses for courses and all that.

Understandable, but there's a way of going about things. Personally I'm really starting to enjoy the FIFA demo, so I think i'm probably going to end up with both, one on each console.
 
I thought PES2008 was OK apart from it's online play, which was a shame as I prefer to play games online as well as offline.

I have now tried the PES2009 demo, and I have pre-ordered it, it is brilliant, let's hope the online play is lag free.

I tried the FIFA09 demo and it's definately nowhere near as good as PES2009, just my opinion.
