Just watching USA v Turkey and the commentary is shockingly biased, at a corner Altidore pushed the goalkeeper out of the way, handled the ball and then smashed it in the net, the referee rightly disallows it and the American in commentary is like "I can't see where the foul is", "Turkey are really lucky there". :o

Decent match though it's been end to end and very open.

1-0 at HT, nice goal as well. USA are a good attacking side but they have looked vulnerable defensively. I don't think they can trouble Germany but Portugal might well be worried.

Andy Townsend has more than one employer?

It was ESPN coverage possibly American in origin although one of the commentators was English.

Match finished 2-1 Turkey had a late penalty, USA are a fun side to watch I think they could surprise a few people this tournament if they can sort out their defense.

I hope I'm wrong, but can only see USA getting a point against Ghana, and nothing more from Portugal or Germany. Tough group to be mixed in with, but that first game should have been against Germany to iron out the nerves etc.
Hopefully they can pull an upset!

I think the USA can take 3 points from Ghana and depending on how deep the dig and whether Ronaldo shows up or not they can take a point or three from Portugal too (I don't really think too highly of Portugal as a whole). I think Germany won't have too much trouble despite some of their key players lacking form and only bringing one out and out striker. Muller, Podolski and Klose can all play up front and all have goals in them. Not to mention players like Reus can chip in from midfield.

Reus went off injured tonight, no idea how serious it is yet though.

Coach Joachim Low confirmed that Reus is to be assessed by doctors, adding: "He's in the hospital, undergoing a MRI-scan. We have to wait for the results.

"In such a situation you have many thoughts running through your head. During half-time we saw that his foot had swollen. I hope that he hasn't suffered a ligament injury and everything is okay."

Great news. I'm supporting Portugal in this world-cup, hope they do well against Germany.

I am really looking forward to this one. All the talk will be about Ronaldo but I would say I can't think of a single more effective player in the world at what they do than Müller.

Can't wait to see this one hope Germany thrash them.

Be worth it just to see Ronaldo crying.. he's such a baby.

Normally I'd always back the Germans, because...well, they're Germany, but I've got a feeling Portugal will win this one.

Just add an opposing opinion to the post above. Ronaldo is a complete dreamboat and I love him.
