FIFA World Cup has started juddering in game.....

I've had FIFA World Cup for a few weeks now and up till now its been fine (PS3) but just the last couple of games it seems to have started juddering pretty badly in-game!?!?! :confused:

Has anyone else had a similar problem???

My Fifa 10 also on PS3 judders now and again, the game will kind of slow down a lot and then suddenly speed up really fast as it catches up with it's self, goes back to normal then.
 
I'm not playing online, just a simple game against the AI!?!?!

I'm sure it hasnt been this bad before! My PS3 has been (I assume) overheating as the fan has been kicking in big style but instead of that tonight its just juddering (which is even more annoying!!!)

Mine does the symptoms that I posted when playing offline too. Has done since I bought the console in January, doesn't slow down with any other games though, just fifa 10.
 
This is ridiculous, its become almost unplayable overnight!!!! :(

The only thing I have done since the fan started kicking in and sounding like a jet engine was to turn the unit on with the eject button held down to supposedly blast any dust out with the fan - could this have affected the PS3 at all???? :confused:

I'll be very annoyed if I've borked my PS3 by doing this!!!! :mad:

I don't think the test mode damages the PS3 in any way, no. How long have you had the PS3? And have you tried other games, if so do they behave the same way as Fifa?
 
I had this issue in Pro Evo. Turned out it was the hard drive that was knackered. New hard drive in and problem fixed..

If you have a spare laptop sata drive, give it a go.
