Anyone tried this? it started open beta yesterday it's pretty much fifa 14+ new graphics with fut but still quite fun

What is the point of this.

A 'free' version but im guessing you can add money to your account to buy things on FUT. Ka-ching...

Why can't they just use all resources on the main game to improve it and their servers.
And as a guess with this out we won't be seeing the next-gen lol version on the PC anytime soon.

I'll still try it, even though I hate FUT.

I tried it and the movement etc is much worse than the new FIFA, I'm sure Robb the EA community manager for FUT said it's basically an older version of FUT with some newer features, you can easily tell this when playing it feels dated.

Just had a seasons game, Atletico vs Liverpool.

It does seem ok and maybe a bit less anti-football than the main game.Certainly appeared to be less unrealistic pressure/ultra defensive wise and players seemed to take up better positions in attack.

Also less lag, I actually had more player control in attack than the main freaking game.

I like it but which fut system is it using ? all the prices are really high and it's a beta ? also the matchmaking system is broken matching bad bronze teams against 4+ star gold teams in div 1

Try on origin selecting update game on fifa world, but yea half the time the servers are down but has been once instance that after i did update via origin it connected but probably coincidence. They seem more interested in the cl final than fixing the servers.

Just reminded myself why I havent played fut since fifa 12

played a guy who had really bad chemistry and players like low 30's compared to my 93

worse team worse chemistry yet all his players seemed twice as fast and strong and intelligent I see good ole hidden momentum is still in lol

Worst team ive ever seen and it played like 1970 brazil

Think i'll knock it on the head fifa momentum isn't worth putting up with makes the whole game pointless

Sorry to bump an old thread but I've been playing this for around a week now and it's "okay". The physics engine is basically FIFA 12 with slightly updated ball physics so you don't get any of the 'first touch' garbage that they added in FIFA 13, it feels quite fluid and a bit more arcadey than 14.

The graphics range from quite detailed to absolutely laughable, there's a tonne of aliasing despite me setting the graphics to Ultra. On the subject of that there is basically no customisation of the graphical options, you just choose between low/medium/high and you pick your resolution and refresh rate and that's it. For whatever reason they still haven't added the option to change the default camera angle which is terrible, so you have to change some things in the ini to actually get a playable angle. There's slowdown galore despite the fact the graphics aren't exactly top notch and good luck finding an online game that doesn't have input lag or just general latency. However when it does work properly it's quite good fun, there aren't half as many sweaty players in this as there are in the main games which makes for more interesting matches.

If anyone is wondering what it actually is, it's basically FUT mode, but they've also added a regular Seasons so you can play as any of the club/international sides that are in the main FIFA games. I think there's actually a set amount of games you can play, if you run out of FIFA credits you have to buy more or wait for the game to give you them for free, I think it's one credit every few hours or something. I've never actually ran out of credits though as it seems to give me an extra one every time I win a game, which is basically every game as the online standard is so poor.

It's worth having a go if you're into football and don't have FIFA 14, seeing as it's F2P. I would never spend any money on the FUT mode as the overall state of the game doesn't warrant spending any real money inside it. If they fix the performance issues and sort some of the graphical stuff out then it could be a decent, free alternative to the main game.

Yeah under FIFA Online using the FIFA 10 engine. It wasn't too shabby but not great either.

I've downloaded this one but haven't got around to playing it yet.

I remember it not being too bad for a browser launched game.

It didn't get out of Beta if I remember rightly?

I've been playing it a lot, the good thing about it is when you play an online match it always connects unlike Fifa 14 where 50% of the time you wouldn't synchronize with the other player which they need to fix for Fifa 15. As Fifa 14 annoyed me so much I deleted it ages ago to and gave this a try recently, will keep me till Fifa 15.

Decided to give this a try and it seems to be very glitchy in the way it works.

For example, my record in Online Seasons is W4 D1 L0, but in the Online Season points it says I have 1 point......

When I had 2 wins, it did say 6 points, then someone rage quit and it moved me up to 9, but after my next game it went back to 1 point.

Another weird glitch is with my coins. It shows I have around 1k until I go to bid on someone and it says I have nothing. As soon as I go out the Player Search screen......my coins come back! :D

I got this a couple of days ago, and i have to admit im enjoying it quite a lot.

the graphics arent great, and yes there are several glitches, my first game started with only 5 players on my team against a full 11... but it seems to play quite well. and the menu screens are really user friendly.

the prices are fairly high of well known players, but you can get some decent players if you are savvy, and buy at the right time of day, and right formations etc. there are a few ways to make easy coins as there always is at the early stages of games.

so far my record is 10-1-1(5 against 11) and have developed a team that is good enough to play with, and obviously win with.

i like the feature of rewards when you level up, thats a nice touch, and gives you more than just an achievement star, by getting these little bonus packs and free coins for playing it makes the process a lot easier investing in players etc.

im yet to play someone who is good enough to put me under some real stress, so i cant comment on the fifa rage side of it yet, but it is fairly smooth to play... some dodgy first touches, which is more realistic i guess! tackles are aplenty, and for some reason it is quite hard to score in most cases...

im enjoying it so far... i guess as they release more tournaments and gameplay modes then it will appeal to more, but the team building was always my favourite bit, so im happy for now!

oh!.....

the lack of skills is a shame... hopefully they can be added some how... buying ben arfa seems to be a bit of a waste so far...

I never knew about this game before (noticed it on origin)
I installed it yesterday to play over the holidays as I've not played fifa since 2009 (went to PES)

According to their website they put out a patch on 2014/11/05

As I've not played it before I can't comment on any improvements but it seems pretty enjoyable, not sure if it's one of those F2P games where you really need to invest money to get anywhere tho

I've just got into this it's pretty good am enjoying it as I haven't picked up FIFA 15 yet I will/might at some point, but love ultimate team anyway.

Enjoying it but constantly getting disconnected which is annoying, but it's free so can't complain.

You don't need to invest money, you get rewards, and coins for winning etc, to open packs.
