Fifth Gear is five's attempt at Top Gear. Almost entirely rubbish, but they've changed the format again this year and done away with the dodgiest of the presenters, so may actually be worthwhile now.

Hopefully so. If they are trying to copy Top Gear even more, I'll stop watching again. If it's supposed to be a car show I'd like more about cars, so I'll be watching this come thursday, and hopefully it'll be good. Pretty fed up of top gear continuing to masquerade as a show about cars! it's more general entertainment and antics now.

Yes, that is an alternative, there is also a site like last gear but slightly different that is an alternative, but I would rather see it in HD/Gigital cable instead of watching on the computer or streamed.

If you have a dish, you can probably pick up Astra 2E. There are loads of free-to-air channels from Freeview.
I do that from Belgium, and you can't be that far away

It also said there was a Mazda 3 MPS in the hatch shoot out.

Personally I can't stand Jason Plato, and I don't rate VBH or Tiffs driving tbh.

No dish, I have digital HD TV, internet and home telephone via cable.

Not really a big issue, I will get it another way or wait till it is aired on cable here

The show was really weird and disjointed. It looked like it had been cut down from maybe an hour show to a half hour show, strange. Also, a gadget show-esque competition ate up a good 10 mins of that! Still, what was on wasn't bad, a breath of fresh air having a car show that actually kinda talks about the cars a little.
