First off im loving the game, but im getting really stuck in career mode, i found the first fights easy, got the amatuer belt, now im really struggling, has anyone got any in game tips to help? One thing i could be better at is blocking, because normmally i just lean everywhere.

Thanks.

blocking and countering is a must :)

its quite easy to block and lean for the first few minutes and watch how the opponent fights then counter block punches when you know they are coming so that you get the time to really hurt him :)

work on the body if you want to slow him down aswell, if he doesnt seem to cut after a lot of head punches work on his body to slow him down

ok thanks, because i won the first few matchs by just tapping the signature move button and knocking them out lol, guess i cant do that any more.

That's all people do online :p

You can beat the whole game by doing that if you really want to.

I was just like you when I got the game - and what made it even more annoying was everyone saying how easy it was and yet I was really struggling.

If you keep laying into your opponent without blocking/dodging, it does become very, very difficult. The easy way to win is to walk up to your opponent then lean back, wait for them to swing at you and miss, then counter with your signature move. Rinse and repeat. You might be able to put a combo together off that but if you simply hit them once each time they'll still fall in the first round.

Learn how to do the 1 punch knockout-first-person-mode moves.

Learn them, execute them and you will be unbeatable if you know how to block the odd shot!

ok cheers for the tips, ill go play in a minute and learn how to block properly.

I have this game on PS3 at the moment if you fancy some games later. Just rented it by chance, don't fancy keeping it long. I played it to death on the 360 months ago. I can give you a few tips as well if you want.

This is true, the SP is pretty poor in FN. You can do the whole career mode by simply using signature/haymaker punches. They may block a couple but eventually one does get through.

Don't use hard shots all the time, throw in some jabs. Time your punches, everytime you miss a punch or your opponent blocks it, it tires you out more.

Since I got mine 2nd hand and it had no manual could someone post the buttons for these signature moves and haymakers?

I've never met anyone who can block properly and counter punch simply because its too hard - blocking is only good if you block from like the first 2 hits and then land a big punch, when i've played i'll prob hit them 4-5 times and they block me then land 1 hook and thats it, dont bother learning to block because you cant properly, only handy when your in a corner and need to get out, bu its better to lean and counter than anyways.
