Hello,

Any good martial arts fighting films i might of missed? Ones i have seen :

Undisputed 1-2-3 (all awesome, 2 was best though)
Warrior (Amazing)
Fighter (ok)
Neverback back down 1-2 (awesome)
Blood and bone (very good)

Seen obvious fight films like Rockys (my fave films) and Fight Club but they are not like the mixed martial arts films like above. Also stuff like Van dam and the other lot like him, i have seen.

Just wondering if there is any i might of missed in the last 10 years. Films that are just purely about fighting and being the best or for revenge etc...

___________

Then instead of making a new thread, i may as well ask another question here.

Me n Mrs like downloading some series and watching 1-2 episodes before bed (nothing on todays UK TV really interests us as night)

Things we are watching at the moment and love are:

Walking Dead (now finished for half season :( )
Homeland ( soon to be finishing im guessing for season 3)

Other stuff we have watched and enjoyed are:

Supernatural season 1-5 ( i stopped watching this after season 5 as it was terrible...Mrs still watches it though if i go up in the gaming room on COD.... RESULT! :D )

BBC's Survivors (really enjoyed this but it got cancelled)

BBC's The Last Train (this was over a decade ago but it was a awesome series)

Terra Nova ( awesome but i think they cancelled it)

Think thats it... As you can see, i like my end of the world stuff... Anything i have missed that i may enjoy?

Thank you muchly

Well worth watching

Also. Fist Of Legend. It's a remake of the Bruce Lee film Fist of Fury. This one starring Jet Li. Great film.

Quick scene from it :)

Check out
Crying Freeman
Brotherhood of the Wolf has some nice scenes
Once upon a time in China movies
Flashpoint
Other Donnie Yen movies
Jackie Chans older movies like Drunken Master, Snake in the eagles shadow etc.

Forgot i made this thread! Will give them all a watch.. Seen a few of Jet Li's foreign films and they are very good. Only watched one the other night where he inherited a fight school but lost his ways and killed the owner of another school then dissapeared to live in the outback. Was a awesome film, though not to sure what it was called.

Any know any English ones that may of skipped the radar? Even if they are really low budget.

Another i forgot to mention i liked was 'Danny The Dog' (Unleashed) by Jet Li.

Thanks guys

Neverback back down 1-2 (awesome)

Awesome?. ??. ???. :p

However there's loads of martial arts films that are great. Drunken Master I and II are a must watch if you have any interest in martial arts at all. As mentioned much of Jackie Chan's early work is very good for the fighting albeit the storyline might often leave something to be desired and it's not within the past 10 years.

If you like a flowing epic type of a film then Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, House Of Flying Daggers or Hero are all well worth a watch. However it sounds as if your interests are more at the gritty end of the spectrum so I'll offer up Fearless (a great film with plenty of action but more touching than any martial arts film has a right to be) and Twin Warriors.

If you're interested in a comedy with some good action then Kung Fu Hustle is simply brilliant.

Awesome?. ??. ???. :p

I watched number 2 again the other day and realized how weak it actually is, for some reason i remembered it being about Michael Jai White. I was wrong.

Though number 1 was still a very good watch imo. (totally disengage brain kind of film)

Also, anyone who hasn't seen undisputed 2, please watch it! Not the best of acting but the fight scenes are brilliant.

Think ill sit and watch IP man once i have finished cleaning the house up. Will return with a verdict later :)

Ah im being made to watch Matilda with mrs and the little one tonight...

I watched IP Man earlier and really enjoyed it. Didn't know is was based on a real martial arts master (who trained Bruce Lee)

Will watch IP Man 2 later on in the week once i get more time to my self.

^^ watched this last night. What complete utter tripe lol!

WAHHHHH, YAHHHHHH, YAHHHHHH, WAAAAA.... Is all you could hear all the way through it. Bad, bad film.

Amazing fight sequences, at to be honest you don't watch these films for the script do you... Watched Ong Bak again last night, forgot how crap it was.
