Other than the Street fighter games any decent fighting games in the last couple years worth getting for pc, in the same style as DOA. Tekken or MK?

I think the very old Tekken games are on Windows, also Street Fighter x Tekken as I'm sure you know, other than that I don't think so. Very bad platform for fighters. :(

its a shame as between the kids on kinect and the wife watching the tv I rarely get on the xbox so would have been nice to a good fighter on pc to kill half an hour now and again

Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition & Street Fighter x Tekken will both kill more than 30 minutes, especially online. You can also get Mortal Kombat I, II & III 'Komplete' edition on Steam for £7 or so.

In terms of quantity you're definitely right, but I do have to big-up SSIV Arcade Edition as one of the best ports to PC I've ever witnessed.

With all settings maxed it really is way above the console versions visually and plays brilliantly too.

There are also old ports of Virtua Fighter 1 and 2 I think, but it is clearly a genre that is not well represented on PC overall.

This. I am highly impressed with this game on my pc and plays and looks beautiful!!

It's always a pleasure to play this game on my pc

Thanks all just picked up SSIV arcade edition from origin for £9.99 so should be worth the money I think.

As already mentioned above, you can get Virtua Fighter 1 and 2 for the PC, but these games are ancient now, like Windows 95/98 era.

3D fighters are incredibly under-represented on the PC so you will find no luck with those especially with the latest releases, unless you find some relatively obscure crappy game. Only choice is to get a console for that.

But for 2D fighters though, yeah you still have the likes of SSFIVAE and SF x Tekken, but be weary, balance patch updates are also very slowly released, generally anywhere from like 2-6+ months after the console versions. SFxT PC for example is still stuck on the broken ass original release.

Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection is available too.

Probably would have saved yourself an extra few quid getting it retail and not having to go through Origin with that. But that still is a good price.

Blazblue Calamity Trigger is superb & also has cross platform vs 360 players.

Yeah it's a good game and a nice additional feature too for PC players, but this game is also old and outdated by like 3 years. BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend is the current version which unfortunately is only available on consoles.

Thanks for the mention of BlazBlue, I kept seeing it in the arcades in Tokyo but couldn't work out what game it was!

I don't recall having actually enjoyed a fighting game since playing Street Fighter II on someone else's Mega Drive so my input probably won't count for much... but might any of these be worth keeping an eye on?
1. Pre-ordered ages ago; been fascinated by the development videos ever since.
2. ???
