This is really random....

There was a craze in London/Essex where everyone was wearing these shoes.

I can't find a picture of them for ****.

They were solid colour, red, blue green mostly and possibly suede? I'm not sure... Some kind of oversized skate shoe or possibly 3/4 boot. They looked chunky.

Any resident trainer freak or ex 90s raver got any idea what I'm on about?
 
They were deffo suede or fabric not mock leather. Quite comparable to the champions.
 
Chav clothes - Shell suits :p
Its the fashion of JD Sports (Bankrupt?) or Sports Direct

I think i found them, not a 100% match (from memory) but they seem closest to it and the time frame is appropriate..

We had a non uniform day at school and everyone wore a pastel coloured shellsuit combo, I kid you not.... It was at the time of the poll tax riots.. 1988? Maybe 87....

(1990 apparently :p)
 
Did anyone have NASA puffa jackets?

Nice and safe attitude.

Maybe just an east London thing?
