Filament recycling

I've got a small box full of failed PLA prints or broken parts that I don't know what to do with and a smaller box of some ABS.

Does anyone recycle their filament and want some more?

There is a company that will send out a box to fill up but the last I checked they wanted to charge £80 or so for the privilege of recycling...
 
Our council has just started separated recycling and like to reject bags if they see something that they think shouldn't be in there.....I'm not sure the binmen would know what a bunch of filament floating around is....perhaps I can just hide it in another container.

I've been following that preciouses plastic thing for a few years. I wish it wasn't so damn expensive as it would be nice to be able to recycle waste filament.
