What format do you use so you can make the file smaller but the photo the same size?

Things like .Jpeg, .Gif, .Bmp, .Png .what ever else.

Because my Girlfriend has got a new camera and she uses Jpeg and shrinks the Resolution of the File to get the size of the file down.

Is there any Format she could use so she wont need to shrink the picture down?

If she needs to shrink them because jpegs are too large, then i doubt that anything will give a good quality photo at the filesize she wants.

Use jpeg, with normal compression; on the camera choose medium quality, rather than high or fine. Make sure you don't confuse the compression with the megapixels the image is taken in.
