File Hiding + maintenance.

So i currently have MacKeeper, which i highly reget, but i still use it to hide a folder i don't want people stumbling across. Is there other software that can do this better?

Also, is there any Mac maintenance software that is good? or do people generally not bother? or do it manually? if so, how?

I don't bother; unlike other operating systems os x looks after itself perfectly fine.

I used to use Onyx, but now I don't really bother at all.

As for hidden folder, I use Truecrypt to create an encrypted hidden volume.

I use Knox for hidden files, no problems with it at all
