Hey guys

I have a program which has somehow managed to "lose" its icon in windows?

How do I set the file to have a specific icon in windows? I don't want to change all of the files of this type (.exe) to this icon, just this single exe file.

Anyone know how to do this in Windows 7?

I have an .ico file to use for it.

The only thing i can think of which might help you is a app called "Resource Hacker". I've used it in the past at a previous job to add some fancy icon's to little apps which we had developed in house.

I've never honestly tried it in Win7 tho, this was back on WinXP desktops.

EDIT: Just found the following which looks like a beta version: http://www.askvg.com/download-new-updated-resource-hacker-3-5-beta-with-64-bit-and-png-file-support/

And also just found an alternative (again, never tried this one tho) http://www.resedit.net/
