Hi all,
I made an absolute balls up yesterday which led to me losing a file that I had written a lot into. Basically I had the original file on a USB stick (File A) which I then copied to the desktop and instead of working on the copy on the desktop (File B), I worked directly on the one on the USB stick (File A). At the end of the day I copied what I thought was the updated file (File B) from desktop back to the USB stick in the process overwriting the actual updated file (File A)!
Is there any way I can recover the updated File A from the USB stick? As I understand it, when you delete a file the data remains, the file table is just updated. Does this also apply to USB sticks and to copy/replace operations?
Really hoping you can all help me out!!
TIA
