I was messing about with some network shares between my pc and mac.

I managed to accidentally drag a folder some where I didn't want too, hit cancel and then CTRL+Z to undo it, yet it's somehow deleted the files on my drive.

Is there any decent file recovery software I could use to maybe get my files back. It's pretty important uni work.

(Yes I know, I should be using time machine, but please for the moment save me the lecture).

Thanks

I dont meant to sound patronising but have you checked the trash? OS X sometimes puts things in there - it seems strange that it has just vanished. Sorry I can't help with software names :(

The file recovery software can recover the files that have lost due to following reasons: Accidental deletion, File System corruption, Virus attack, Operating system malfunction, Hard drive partition deletion, Hard drive partition corruption or deletion. But file recovery software can recovery your lost files in all of these cases. You can try Stellar Phoenix Macintosh Data Recovery Software from here: http://www.macintosh-data-recovery.com/ and after using it if you are able to view your data in preview mode then you need full version to save your data.
