I'm trying to find a Bitcoin wallet. I'm sure the .dat file was on my hard disk. Is there software I could use to retrieve deleted files? Would probably need a search function.

You can search by file type yep, it's actually very inclusive for a "trial". I'm not sure if it actually has any limits at all if I'm honest.

But the plot thickens... it's a password protected zip file, and I can't remember the password.

Can they be cracked? We're talking £3k here

Depends on the encryption method and the strength of the password.

Depends on the encryption method and the strength of the password.

Password has no special characters, it consists of upper case and lower case letters with numbers. I can probably guess what the words are, I just don't know the order or the numbers.

Just to reiterate, I'm almost positive I know the words and numbers, I just can't remember the order.

Something like:

WorD1<number>WorD2<number>

Is there software that I could use to input the numbers and words to try and crack? I'm guessing having that info would be shortening the time somewhat?
