File Server in Azure

Is anyone here using a file server based in azure? As in a Windows 2012 box with the file sharing role applied to it.

Replacing all onsite hosts and SAN's but looking into azure and seeing what I can put up there. I tested their SMB share service, but this didn't work out. Any time I search for a file server in azure I am brought back to is their file share smb 3.0 service.

Just wanted some real world thoughts on it.
