I would imagine this has been asked before but I guess it couldn't hurt. Rather new to this area.

Anyway my sister got a laptop and she wants to move a few gigs of music onto it. I'm trying to connect the two together via my router but I can't figure out how to do it. (Or if it's even possible :P )

Netgear DG834G router, both PC and laptop physically connected to it. Both can access the internet but they can't find eachother. Tried windows network creation tools and setting up a file sharing folder. (However I wouldn't know if I'd done it right, or even where the shared folder would appear on the laptop)

Is there a way I can do it? I believe I could connect them directly to eachother but that would require a 2way cable I think. Ohh and is there any specific services that I need running? I usually trim them down when I install windows xp(home).
