file store on a server?

how do peeps

just wondering, for the interim period between now and when me and a few guys i'm working with set up a VPN, is there a nice quick way to set up a secure, private file store within our hosted domain? just somewhere where we can stick shared files and the like? preferably done without the use of ftp software too?

Simple solution - PHP based uploader such as the one available from celerondude.com. You then protect the entire directory with a .htaccess (you can probably even do it through your webhost's control panel. Easy peasy .
