File wont delete!

I have a folder on my desktop containing an ISO file. I used this ISO with a virtual drive (alcohol 120%) but it was a trial which expired, so I uninstalled the software.

But now it still seems to think the image is mounted because whenever I try to delete it I get a message saying it can't be deleted because it's still in use.

So how do I delete it?

The icon for a CD drive is still in 'My Computer', despite the virtual drive software being uninstalled. (But right-click+eject does nothing).

Alcohol 120% must not be fully uninstalled then. I would try a manual uninstall as there's something which has been left behind on your system and running at startup. This may be relevant to you but might not be for your specific version.

Try reinstalling Alcohol, set virtual drives to zero or unmount image, or both, then uninstall again.

Also maybe check read-only attributes of ISO file.
