Filefront > Fileplanet + Gamershell

I just downloaded the UT3 and CoD4 demo at the same time, both at 400kbs.

Hearing that even subscribers to the heaps of crap above are onyl getting under 100kbs.

Does no one use these?

Just though id have a little moan/show off

im a fp member/subscriber, but i do also use filefront as well. i use filefront for more of the smaller mods/files etc as theyre easier to find on that site, as well as there being more of them. i use fp for the bigger more mainstream mods and files.

i always get good speeds on fp though (my max which is 240kbs), it only dropped to about 100 last night for about 5 minutes, which isnt unbearable

I usually use FilePlanet and GamersHell, going to keep Filefront in mind in future.

Gamershell and Gigaget download manager for me, for some reason any large ZIP file will have bad crc checks if I don't use gigaget.

I may be wrong but gamershell is free isnt it...anyway I definitely wouldn't call them crap, I always get full speed and I'm sure if you tried to get the demos when they actually came out off filefront they would have been just as slow as gamershell.

GamerShell gets me max speed 90% of the time (20mb) so i use that

I have a fileplanet sub and I always get excellent speeds of 300-400kbps and above, even when everyone else is grabbing beta's and reserved demo's etc. Quite happy

I always use GamersHell personally.

But if Filefront is good for you, then use it.

yeah same been with fp for over a a year and allways get over 400kps i was getting 800 when i was downloading ut3!!!
