Sooo, whats happening then?

Its still going and there is mass confusion on the forums with nobody knowing whats going on.

It cant be a twisted April fools joke as too many paying customers would have backed out, unless they were in on the joke?

Gamershell has always done the trick for me, max speed. FileFront/Planet seemed so slow.

I hope it isn't true - I get a lot of stuff from it - and frankly it makes fileplanet look a bit silly in comparison.

Never really used Filefront, only ever downloaded a few patches from it and that's it. It was a good free site but I won't be missing it.

Excellent news, even though some laugh, some of the content on filefront simply wouldn't ever have been replaced for various reasons (creator's leaving the mod/design world for example).

Good in a way to see filefront back with the original owners too; they'd obviously been doing something right before the Ziff Davis takeover; though will have to see if they make any changes.
