fileplanet download manager?

Not a pc game question but its for pc game dloads so probably the right section.

Anyone know what ports this uses? Had my router out of the loop earlier and was almost maxing my speed from a uk server, put the router back in line and 350k max. :mad:

Probaly just being a bit crap, I sometimes get 100k others 1mb downloads

Just tried again with and without the router, with im getting 270k without im getting 1.5mb.

I checked all the setings and can't see anything that would be causing this. Can dload on other sites at near to full pelt, this dload manager though just seems to work properly when the routers not present. :mad:

You could try running netstat -a in a dos window and it should give you list of all you open connections and the port they are trying to use. This may be of some help to you, haven't done anything like this in a while so could be wrong

Yup they say about the vista firewall but the router seems to be whats the problem, tried with no firewall and with, tried with dload manager added to exception list and same outcome Only thing that speeds up the dloads is to unhook the router and ive no idea why.

Theyve literally no info on router setups, contacted support yesterday and am still waiting on a response.

Well id love to know whats causing the slow speeds with the router inline, this only sems to affect the fileplanet download manager, i can dload drivers etc at almost full pelt. :confused:

I never use their download manager :/

I just cancel and use the normal link to download stuff, seem to get faster speeds that way. You can also copy/paste those shortcuts and give em to your friends if they dont have an account

The links dont last long so u cant post them on forums etc but u can messenger them off to people
