Filevault on seconday drive ONLY

So just discovered that Sky Go basically won't work on encrypted drives. How pathetic.

Anyway, I have both my OS drive and secondary data drive encrypted on my MBP (my home folder lives on the data drive).

There is no particular reason I need the OS drive encrypted, just the secondary one. So, my question is, if I turn off filevault, but leave the data drive encrypted, will everything still work as intended?
