I've been pondering using it for a while now but not sure after reading a few horror stories of it dying and corrupting all your stuff after kernel panics/other crashes etc.

Does anybody here use it?

I use it and have done so on 10.3.9 for about a year now. I haven't had a lick of trouble with it, though it does slow down file access and transfers on slower machines such as mine.

Should be ok mate.

I ran it on my iBook G4 with 512mb RAM. Was slightly slower than without. I imagine it wont make much difference on a MacBook.

Just out of curiosity what level of encryption does it use? Truecrypt is out for Mac now which I could use to choose encryption.

It uses AES to some degree with 1024-bit RSA and 3DES-EDE.
