So i have a strip of approx 1.5" x 1.5 m gap between 2 sets of pavers. Whats best to fill it in, sand, cement or mortar. There seems to be many different opinions on whats best. The base is sand/cement mix. I may use one a pressure washer that has the 'sweeper' bit on the end so don't know if that makes a difference.

Cheers

Chris

Personally I'd try a bag of kiln-dried sand first and see if that did the trick with the occasional top up. Avoids having to mess with cement.

Would a pic help

The pavers are 900 x 600. I can try sand.

Can you move the slabs from the left to the right to move the gap to the end or are they cemented down?

I'd be looking at cement (as you've already mentioned you can't shove the slabs together), last thing you want to do is go over on your ankle down it.

Slightly more expensive, but just grab a bag of readymix and be done with it. It isn't going to matter too much in that gap anyway.

So I finally got round to doing it (did not realise it had been so long since I started this thread) . I bought a 10kg tub of pre mix stuff that just needs water, pretty easy to use. It didn't go too badly, however as I started the job it started raining and about half way though the job I had a delivery of racking so it took me a bit longer than I would have liked. I had to put some bags and weights over the top due to the rain however due to the wind the concrete has now set with a Wierd pattern on it. I still need to dress it off a bit anyway as believe or not 10kgs was not quite enough:(. I spilt a bit on Co Crete either side on the pavers, what's the best way to get this off and remove the top 1/4 inch or so of concrete. I was thinking just using an angle grinder and diamond blade.
