The extended scenes are mostly longer character introductions, the odd extra camera angle in action scenes, etc. sometimes the dialog clashes with or covers the same ground as other scenes or they seem a little unfinished compared to the theatrical cut but nothing that detracts from the overall movie (or in 1 case was probably cut coz the dialog is plain rubbish).
While not as epic as HEAT if you enjoyed HEAT you'll like this one, personally I like Affleck's sense of pacing, which is strong in good will hunting and gone baby gone, just drawn out enough to be able to take in the character development/background but never so long between the action that you get bored.
