How far in advance do they film these tv shows before showing them on TV?

For example If I was to watch the next episode of Eastenders, when would this episode be made/filmed etc?

I think EE is 2-3 months, and Corrie is 1-2 months.

I'm more of an EE fan, purely because I can't abide the lame acting in Corrie.

I'm slowly giving up with all soaps lately. Their storylines seem to revolve around the actors private lives so there seems to be 2 parallel storylines going on - one on the tele and the other in the gossip columns in the newspapers!!

Now Phil and Grant have come back to EE I don't think I will be watching it at all, their acting is awful and wooden and the storylines are even worse. A 5 year old could come up with a more convincing story!!

Yeah i thought it was 6 weeks, Neighbours is aired 6 weeks here after being shown in Australia

They have breaks during the year in Aus, which is why there is often big cliff hangers at random times, and also the reason why we are slowly catching up.
