Filter e-mails on Mailbox forward

Hi,

I am not sure if this is possible or not.

I am running Exchange 2003, and one of the mailboxes has a forwarder setup to forward to an external pop3 mailbox.
I have just been asked if it is possible to filter the forwarded mail so that mail from certain domains does not get forwarded to the external mailbox but still remains in the Exchange mailbox.

Any idea's?

Not as standard I think. Mailbox forwarding tends to be an all or none approach. It might be possible with an external IMAP client but that isn't server-side.

Easy, just set up some rules in outlook, exchange processes the basic rules for outlook so it'll all get processed and forwarded when outlook isn't running...

The rules are good if its something you don't mind the end user seeing which might be the case in this situation, but sometimes you might not want that
