Hi all.

I'm after some filters, but the two lens i have and the next one i want to buy are all different thread sizes.

sigma 10-20 is 77mm
kit is 52mm
and nikon 18-200 VR is 72mm

I have UV filters on my lenses, and 52mm ND4, ND8 and R72 filters. But i want IR, and also ND and ND grad filters i can use on the other lenses.

I was looking at getting the bits for the Cokin P filter system. Good idea, what else is there out there? I know i might have a few issues with a CPL doing this. But otherwise it should be fine on all sized lenses, yeah?

Had a quick look around, and found some holders for the filters that are very cheap. Are they generally that cheap, or are the cheap ones naff and will let light in around the filter?

Hi-tech filters are better and reasonably priced

get the 100x150mm ones for use with ultra wide

Lee are one of the best but cost a fortune

100x150? that seems a bit excessive! the lens thread is only 77mm the uw.. so 150mm is running nigh on double what it needs to be

thats just the grads

they need to be that size for ultra wide angle lenses and unless you hold them by hand you may also need a wide angle holder
