worth it?

IF so which one should i get?

The adslnation ones? Or the standard nte5 filtered faceplates? are they much better than normal filters?

And is it just a case of unscrewing 2 screws and then changing the faceplate over?

I have an XF-1e filter, it's an external one and not in the faceplate but I don't think that would make any difference. I noticed no change at all going from the standard microfilter that came with my router.

Nope, no change at all to sync speed or attenuation

Here are my stats, not sure if these are good or bad tbh
Code:
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed	20467 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation	22.5 db 10.8 db
Noise Margin 6.2 db 13.0 db

I've found the filtered masterplate to be better as it filters at the entry point.. rather than filtering from an extension (which is what the XF1e does) :)

My stats (mainly SNR) have improved by 6+dB since the masterplate went on.. and this was coming from the standard filtered BT NTE5 master socket

I got the one from ADSLnation (uses the same filter as the XF1e :D)

I have both the dongle type xf-1e and the faceplate version, for whatever reason the dongle version is slightly better in terms of sync speed.

If you have a filtered face plate, does that mean you can only have your router attached at that location? Will your other face plates no longer be useable :(

SW.

In a way yes. Other sockets will be usable once wired, but only for voice not ADSL

There is a way to extend the ADSL to other faceplates by connecting the A and B IDC terminals, not sure if the filtered faceplate has these though (not checked)
