So I had my heart set on the LG 34UC98 but apparently LG don't sell monitors in Singapore anymore and they don't provide warranty in Singapore either!!
How I wish OC could deliver to Singapore... (pls?)
So went down to one of the tech malls and came across 4 alternatives:
Acer X34 - $1499 SGD
Asus ROG Swift PG279Q - $1349 SGD
Acer XB270HU - $1099 SGD
Asus MG279Q - $979 SGD
Now here is my dilemma!!
I'm tempted by the Acer X34, looks amazing, but worried about bleeding and a severe lack of power from my current system (2 gb GTX 770, i5 3.4ghz, 16gb ram). also never had a super wide monitor and worried I might find it too big going form a 22inch wide monitor (dell 2209wa) This naturally leads to the XB270HU but worried around build quality and bleeding aswell.
Really liked the look of the new ROG swift and it has g-sync, but its is almost $400 more than the MG279Q which has freesync. But the free sync only goes to 90hz!
It should be noted shops in Singapore do not do exchanges or returns, once you buy it then you need to deal directly with the manufacturer for exchanges / replacements.
Also I've decided I am going to wait on upgrading my GPU until the new ones are announced in a couple of months - so either way I can go AMD or Nvida, depending on the monitor I get.
Which one should I get?
