not sure what res but i have a 24 inch monitor and i want to play all games in as much detail(high settings)as possible

That system really does not need a 100w PSU, something like a 750w would be more suitable.

ive chose a 1000w psu as in a few months i will be getting a second 4870x2 to go crossfire and its also modular.

Doubt you'll ever need that much GPU power, well no time soon I'm sure, 24" is 1920x1200 native. Anything other than Crysis will float on your current GPU.
