Build here

I've already got a Corsair 640W PSU as well as other peripherals. I just want to check that this build makes sense and that I'm not forgetting anything.

Thanks guys.

replace the 2550K with a 3570K and you are all set.

Also you could get similar RAM cheaper, and a similar motherboard cheaper, but they won't carry the same visual appeal as the ones you picked. So if you like the look of them, and you don't mind spending a little bit extra on them, go for the ones you chose.

Also, why the odd looking fans?

The case comes with two decent fans, adding four extra cheap ones is a bit pointless, maybe get just one extra fan to help airflow, any more than that and i don't think you'll notice much difference.
I'm presuming you already have a CPU cooler?
The UP4 that RJC suggested is a really great board.

What monitor have you got?

I've heard those fans are good, they come included on one of the OCUK OC'd bundles iirc. I've got two for the cpu cooler and an extra one for the top and side as I thought that with the case I've choosen I could do with some extra cooling if I decide to OC.

I forgot to include it in my build spec but I've chosen the Prolimatech Black Megahalems CPU Cooler, do you think this is a good choice?

I've got a old 24" Dell 2407 monitor that still seems up to the job.

It's a lovely looking cooler, there are much better fans to add to it, but if you add in the cost of them you might as well something like this

You really don't need a 4gb graphics cards, I'd say you don't really need a 680, but I'm planning on getting one so I can't really talk.
This will give you the same power, just doesn't have all that spare VRAM sitting there not doing much.

Extra cooling is always good, but it might be worth waiting to see if you need it. No use adding extra noise and cost with fans you might not need.

Get a 670 not a 680. The performance increase does not echo the difference in price and the 680 will be wasted on one 24" screen anyway. I have a 24" screen and i'm rocking a hot running slightly OC'd 480 and I can max out BF3 with 45 - 65fps.

Thanks for the advice, yea I was looking at that GPU, I was just a bit put off by the brand as I'd never heard of them. If they're ok then I've got no probkem with a 2GB though.

I've looked at some more CPU coolers and the Noctua NH-D14 looks nice, is that a better choice than the one you linked to?
