final build what do you guys think?

Antec PSU's are good I have one and it hasn't given me any trouble at all, its now been ported over to a 2nd PC build

Are you going for the SSD? I really can't recommend them highly enough.

Otherwise, it looks fine by me.

Just a thought, that mother board wont support proper crossfire as the second PCI will only run at x4 which may hamper future upgrades. I got caught out by this as I have a similar board and now can't add a 2nd card with out upgrading the mobo.

This mobo would support 2 cards I think, I'm sure someone who knows more will confirm http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-235-MS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=2574

Otherwise it looks like a good build to me, as others said better to add a SSD now rather than later but only if your budget can stretch

yeah i knew that but i thought id save like £30 because it came with a free cpu cooler.

Is 2400mhz ram necessary? if not then theres a nice 1600mhz 8gb set on today only for £50.

And im sure i have read that using the 4x slot doesn't make that much difference (can't remember the actual percentage). I could be wrong but if LTmatt is about he might clarify as he seems to be in the know on these things a the minute and iirc he has tried it.

wont the 2400mhz boost my performance compared to the 1600mhz?

There look to be some GPU deals coming this weekend, i'd wait and see what it brings and buy your gfx card over the weekend if it comes down in price, then see what else you can save on the deals. I would personally just grab the 1600mhz ram set @ £50 if it's only for gaming and you never know that 7950 might drop a good £20, after all it was on sale for £182 the other day. Thats already quite a saving :)
