Going to order tomorrow! Would like a final check of my basket from you guys please.. Machine is for games and video editing + encoding my teams footie matches :p

I am looking to overclock to 3.8-4.0 if possible and look to get another 5850 when prices drop.


Things that I have bought already:
5850 and the H50

Things I am most unsure about:
Mobo and the RAM

Looks mint.

You could save a few quid on a OEM cpu, but you never know when you might want a heatsink.
you got a harddrive for backup? 80gb aint much.

P.s why the psu extension lead? That psu has some really long cables.

You could also pick a motherboard with newer stuff like usb3 and sata6gb for more future proof.

The OEM chip seems to have gone.. can't find it on ocuk. I have a 2TB drive for slower things forgot to say that sorry.

I was not sure if i needed the extention so I could hide the cables behind the board so if i dont I will drop that. I think this mobo is a USB 3 \ sata 6 ?

I've got that PSU and the cables are reasonably long, I'm not familiar with that case though some am not sure whether you'd need the extension cable.

TBH if they are not long enough you can still build it up and then fit the extension cable at a later date, when you have a better idea of how to organise the cables and make it all look tidy.

Looks a great build BTW. :)
 
Thanks! no reviews of the mobo yet so dunno if i should just get the ud5 to be safe on the clock ? What do I loose getting this one over a ud5 ?
