Hey guys, I'm soon going to be ordering the parts for my new PC, and I've spent absolutely ages making sure every part is good enough for what I want. I just want to double check again before I buy, as I'm new to PCs and I want to make completely sure I'm doing it right, as I probably won't be upgrading much for a couple or so years. I've already got the graphics card and PSU, as i saw they had a good deal going on for them at Christmas (GTX 460 768mb and CM GX550W. )Currently what I've got is:

The question is, what do you think of my rig for around a 550 pound price point? Is it worth it, and will it be good for gaming, running games at full with 1920 by 1080 resolution and some AA/AF? Also, if I were to upgrade to an 15 2500K, are there ways which I can cut down on my budget, and also should I change the board to something crossifre or sli enabled? Or is one slot enough, as I can just buy a whole new gpu to replace my gtx 460 when it becomes outdated?

Thanks, but what do you think about the motherboard and the dual gpu options? And would the 2500k be a reasonably practical upgrade seeing as I have absolutely no experience of overclocking. Is it hard? Hahaa cheers
 
Okay that's not a problem, but is 2500k worth the 50 pound more at this point, when I've never overclocked before? Also, is it advisable to go for a phenom X4, as from all the benchmarks I've seen the 2400 outperforms it quite substantially?
 
Hmm I see what you mean, and I kinda like the look of the RipjawX ram, shiny and red :) I guess thats what I'll get then, last question; is it hard to overclock the non K series CPUs? Is the procedure different? Thanks for all your help!
 
Oh right...damn I may have to consider getting the i5 2500k then, thats another 50 quid out of savings account :( Although on some website reviews, they have somehow managed to OC a i5 2400 to something like 3.7 to 3.9 ghz, I don't see how that's possible from what you guys are telling me tho? Also Cookeh, I quite like the look of the antec 100 and plan on installing red LED xigmatek fans on the front, because I'm like that haha :) How good is the Asgard?
 
Ah fair enough, I do like to have more monies :) But then again, I do prefer the look of the Antec 100, and in the future when I want to upgrade my graphics card it seems to have enough room to fit a 5970, so I should be set :)
