Okay then, sorry for tinkering a little more, but just want something that will feel worth it.

I've decided to go the finance route, which is going to be okay for me. Tinkering, lingering and thinking is my downfall -so really trying to bite the bullet here. Just after one more check -CPU is listed but it's aquired elsewhere.

again many thanks for any chip-ins/suggestions. The monitor is a substantial upgrade for me and I'd be looking to have the specs to put it to good use. TN panel was also a consideration, but am hesitant on it was damn it I like my sparkles :rolleyes:

Get a 2080 I'm sure it's only like 100+ but for the cost of a 1080Ti at the moment might be worth considering the 2080?

Yeah was thinking the same just hold back 3 days once they arrive. just hold on to see to what there really like in the bench marks etc.

Okidoki then.

Been throwing hours of deliberation at this so far, so 3 days more won't hurt.

Just so looking forward to something amazing!

From the leaked benchmarks, if they're accurate, it would be worth a hundred quid or so extra for a 2080 over a 1080Ti. But yeah wait for the real benchmarks.

@Citadel looks solid .

RTX 2080 is more powerful but also with more cost naturally . Sure as soon reviews go live more orders will go in, prices have already crept up and guessing they will afterwards .

save some cash on the monitor !

would allow extra to go on 2080 if needs be and 32" is perfect for 1440p gaming personally :D

seen some pics of the RTX being slapped on test bench - POWER! but naturally at a cost and wait time!

if extra £100 odd is worth it over 1080ti

***as mentioned below, K for Z370 and Z390 boards. just slap in i7 8700 and jobs done, saves more cash

As mentioned above maybe best to wait for the RTX reviews.

Here is an alternative spec. You should really have a Z370 chipset to make full use of the 8700K. The 1080 ti is just there as it is cheaper than the Gigabyte, and still an excellent card. Of course wait for reviews though for the RTX2080.

Just leaves a nice monitor. The split between two is a bit hard but am more leaning towards the IPS one, as there may be some video/image work happening.

I haven't looked at many reviews on the RTX 2080 but Jayz2cents has benchmarked both the 2080 and 2080 ti in the vid below. He suggests they are not worth buying at present but you can make your own decision.
