Hi,

Before i begin i know this is partly my fault for not checking the requirements of the software but i have a problem with installing Final Cut Studio 2.

Basically i bought the software off competitor and it arrived today, i have a macbook pro with stock harddrive (140GB) now i have used a fair bit of space through music and other apps, anyway i have 30GB left however it seems i don't have enough space to install final cut studio.

when i try to install, the installer insists on trying to install Soundtrack pro which is 21.1GB?? (See Below) do i need this, really?

If there is no way to disable Soundtrack Pro should i just buy a bigger harddrive?

Thanks in advance.

I would just buy a bigger hard drive, to be honest. Although do try the drop-down option.

SoundTrack Pro when used with Final Cut can be extremely beneficial to what you may be doing. :)

The 21GB is including the 4 audio dvd's, which have thousands of loops, sfx and instruments on them, useful for making your own soundtrack, you should be able to install Soundtrack Pro without these so you can just use it for editing your own audio.

Same goes for the DVD Lab and Motion install, they has loads of templates you can use or you can just install the programs on their own.
