Hey all,

Just a quick question...

If I wanted to run Final Cut Studio 2 on a Macbook - is this possible, or will it just collapse under the pressure?

Thanks,

Marky

It'll collapse.

I'm pretty sure it won't run Motion for a start and Final Cut Pro can be picky.

Even if you did get it running, it wouldn't be pretty.

I ran the whole Final Cut Studio on my MacBook Pro, which was 2.16Ghz, 2gb, x1600xt 128mb and it was fine.

Not the highest spec by any means but it was fine. Obviously a Mac Pro would make light-er work of it. Hoping to get the Studio sometime soon myself.

What spec MacBook are you talking about? It will run OK on a MacBook, but will run perfectly on a MacBook Pro.

Depends on the amount of work you are doing and whether you need the portability. An iMac would be better than a Mac Pro if your looking at spending less.

Oh and just another quick question...
Are you able to play around with Final Cut Studio 2 in the apple stores?
