I'm after a walkthrough that covers everything in order so I don't miss anything in the game and also tells me what materia to equip and when and also what party to have and when. I've used walkthroughs before but someone always gets missed. Anyone have and links to a good one that they have used? I did buy a guide but it has you flicking backwards and forwards for things, whereas I just want to follow one straight through.

Many thanks

Not used the walkthrough, but I've referred to this site once or twice before for FF6 and it's great.

TBH character choice doesn't matter till latter stages of the game when Lvl 4 limits come in to effect (except for some side quests).

If your characters are all levelled up then it really doesn't make a difference who you have in your party. Unless you are trying to get lucky with the Cait Sith limit break thingy.

Thanks so far, I'm mainly wanting a walkthrough that doesn't have sidequests all together at the back of the walkthrough, I want to be told when to do the side quest without having to remember myself because I always forget and miss something.

Its a huge game, i completed it by myself at first. The second time i did use a guide and i found it even more enjoyable as i found hidden things i had not previously known about. E.g materia that could only be attained on a certain disc.

If the guy wants to use a guide to get the max out of the game let him, theres nothing wrong with it. 3 disc game with lots to miss.

Yeah i know was just pointing out why someone would use a guide incase some took you seriously :P My smilies, they do not work :(

the official guide never covers everything and leaves side quests at the back

trust me the guides created by the community are much better, I think some guys are actually creating their own professional walkthrough which is due for release sometime soon, i forgot who though lol... but its meant to be perfect and doesnt miss a detail.

Use a walkthrough from Gamefaqs and whenever you finish a part or sidequest make that part of the walkthrough a different color or bold so you know you did it

No experience of FF7, but I think GameFaqs definitely have the most extensive collection of guides and walkthroughs. I sometimes find myself referring to them when I'm stuck (once or twice during UC2, sadly) but never follow them because it spoils the fun. I don't like being told where to go, I prefer to do it myself.

Having said that, if I'm really desperately after a 'secret location' or something similar, I would refer to a guide :)
