Final Fantasy Series

I used to love these games way back when I was at school and played If i recall VII through to X-2.

To cut a long story short I haven't had a console in years and the reason I have one ordered is for a blue ray player primarily, but hey may as well enjoy the games as well!

So thought I'd do some catch up on the FF series but they appear to have changed to MMORPG in the time i've been away which doesn't really appeal to me I dont think. So have they gave up on the way they used to be and went down the multiplayer route?

There's only a couple that are online, most of them are still JRPGs.

Only FFXIV is online on the Playstation 3. I know you can pick up some of the older Final Fantasy titles from the Playstation Store also such as FF7, 8, 9 and later this year FF10 will be released (in a remastered form).

Pre X-2 you have:

1 - 3 - Dunno, PSN?
4 - 9 - PSN Store
10 - Getting an HD makeover, out later this year

Past X-2 you have:

11 - MMO
12 - Single player
13 - Single player
13-2 - Single player
14 - MMO

Thats great. Must have just been bad luck on my part because the two I happened to look at were both online though one is yet to be released on Ps3, so thought they must all have went down the same route.
