Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core - Reunion

Why?

Final Fantasy 10 HD runs fine on the Switch, along with other Final Fantasy games from the PS2 and PS3 days. Have no problems running on the Switch so this should fly as it was originally an PSP game.
I had not watched the trailer and thought it was a remake rather than a remaster :o:p

It's cool they've done this. I've a feeling it's because they'll be pushing Zack prominently in the coming Remake games.

I've never played Crisis Core, I've always been put off by the terrible dialogue, and it's weird direction and style. Very anime.

I'll pick it up on a sale later down the line.

Not long left for this to come out. Decided to wait at least 6 months before buying due to the amount of games on my play list. Will probably be £20 or less on CDKeys by then too :)

Look forward to the reviews. I did play it on the PSP back in the day, but don’t remember anything about it other than enjoying the soundtrack. Will definitely pick it up at some point.

This finally went sub £30 on cdkeys so I picked it up and fired it up tonight. Gameplay is fun, but first thing that stood out to me was Zack's voice. What the actual f.. Never seen a voice mismatch like it in my life. It's like they hired the kid next door to do it.

So finally completed this recently. Had my £30 worth of fun I would say.

Zack's voice gets better as you play on. It is weird because at the start I am not sure if it even is the same voice actor as that was terrible. Not sure when the change occurs, but I think it is not long after and then the voice is fine.

In the end this game was designed for the PSP and the lack of openworld shows. The story missions have nice story but the 10 chapters would be over pretty quickly unless you do missions.

The bulk of my fun came from the materia system and finding and upgrading stuff.

Not sure if I will be replaying it anytime soon. But still a must have for a Final Fantasy 7 fan and am glad I have it in my steam collection :)

FF16 soon, 6 month ps5 exclusive though.

At least they acknowledged the poor PC ports and intend to release something of better quality.

Yep. Looking forward to that. At least we will know if it is any good and worth buying day 1. If the PS5 versions reviews well I will pre-order if I can find it a good price.

If it turns out to be a 7 or 8 out of 10 type of game I will just wait until price drops to £20 or something.

I think the script and having to time it to the original animation made the voice acting sound a bit disjointed. Aerith's voice actor was great in FFVII but sounded weird in this.

That's just the way games were back then. :p
