Final Fantasy VII for iOS

Seen some screen grabs and it looks like a pretty lazy port. I would have considered getting it if they had worked out some proper touch based controls as opposed to a virtual joypad.

To follow up to what I said here. After 4 hours play using the analogue controls I can put the opacity to zero and play perfectly.
 
Was looking at this but the controls look awful.

Also what happens re: saving? If you minimise the app do you lose all progress since the last save point?
 
Minimising the app doesn't lose progress as I can minimise it do some emails then go right back to it, but obviously if something happens to the phone, resets etc... then it won't be saved.

To save though it is the same as previous (have to go to a save point)
 
I've got this on PC, so I won't be getting it, but I can't wait for Final Fantasy VIII! It's my most favourite game EVER! But £12 is a bit steep!
