Final Fantasy VII (hardcore) fans, I need a little help

I am currently replaying Final Fantasy VII on my PSP but I can't find the Key to Sector 5 in Bone Village.

I did check two FAQ's but both say something different should I look in the area near the crashed plane or the area near the tent?

Also should I look for 'good treasure' or 'normal treasure' and should I dig in the place the workers point to or in the place where the key is regardless of where the workers say?

This is how I do it:

Ask for a search (doesn't matter what, except no Lunar Harp).
Now just skip placing diggers and planting bombs, and walk to
the upper level. Here, stand near the ledge, in the middle between the smoke and the campfire. Mark the spot, and the next morning grab the Key Item 'Key to Sector 5'.

Thanks, I will try that tonight, I did that yesterday but in the spot near the plane as mentioned in a FAQ.

Yeah there are loads of people that seem to think it's in different places, I've always followed this guide for FF7 and never had any problems getting the key.

I tend to find it helps to do it on the 3rd disk also.

But it is possible on the 2nd disk, I have just received the airship on the 2nd disc or should I just wait until I reach the 3rd disk?

Certainly worth a try, wouldn't hurt to get your hands on Tifas ultimate weapon.

You can get it by digging under the spikey shard thing (I think it's the nose) coming out of the wrecked plane at the bottom of the screen.

That is where I searched ~12 times but got nothing

Maybe you are in fact limited to getting it on the 3rd disk. As i said its what you need in order to get Tifas ultimate weapon which is a beast and might be a bit too powerful for early 2nd-disk stuffs. I 'm currently on disk 2 as well and went to the place where you get Vincents ultimate and i got the dialog sequence, but not the weapon, guess i'll have to go back when i get to disk 3.

Yup, you have to go there in disc 2 and 3 to get his stuff

After some searching on the internet I read that you can only get it after Cloud returns to the party in Mideel which is straight after getting the airship which would make sense as I can't get it now.

So I will continue the story until Cloud rejoins and try again.

I find it very nice, especially as I play it on my PSP and the smaller screen size hides the dated graphics.

I also played FInal Fantasy IX which was also a great blast from the past.

If only they gave you a legit way to copy your playstation games onto your psp. There are only a few decent titles on the ps store and it would seem a little silly buying something you already have a copy of(then again they dont cost a lot)

I cant say i remember doing that part and i have played through ffvii more than a few times, maybe im due a playthrough of the game again, its probably been 6 years or so since i last played it

Currently I am playing the game following a FAQ guide and I had the same on some occasions, I played the game twice on the PS and I thought I had seen everything but there are still parts I did not find or skipped.

I've been replaying it without any guides, to be honest 99% of the secret stuff has hints, for example getting vincent or breeding a gold chocobo are all hinted at by several people scattered about.

All i need to do now is save midgar, do some materia leveling in the crater and defeat the weapons. I've got/nearly got every ultimate weapon, and i just need to steal one of more the 'ultimate armour' (i forget the name) from rude, sorted.
