Excellent, Learn something new every day. I really need to play this again quickly!

So a quick question, From someone with a fading memory. The Sapphire weapon, It's the one you battle, but it runs away, and then it gets shot with the cannon?
 
You never fight it, the only weapons you get to fight are Ultima (the flying one) where you get clouds ultimate weapon. Diamond (the white one that roams and attacks midgar and gets shot by the canon) Emerald the hard ass under the sea and Ruby The red one in the desert

Are you sure? I could have sworn, You stand in Junon and try and fend off one of the weapons. Now I'm really confused lmao.

I'm gonna get it out of the cupboard tonight and get playing it :D

If they did a remake of this, I would buy a PS3 just so I can play it. I remember wasting many hours playing this, when I should have been doing homework for school :p

Infact I might dig out my playstation just so I can play this.

Bah, Well that's me talked around. Although not entirely, I have Lost Odyssey, With almost ZERO playtime at home, So that will be getting my attention first. Then, I'm gonna dedicate some time to Final Fantasy 7, Hell, I have 7 through 12 (Minus 11) I may have a marathon :D

I'm starting to get quite a big FF collection. Got I+II on PS1 and the new PSP versions, 3 on the DS, and then the rest on the PS1/2. Tactics on the PSP, Revenant Wings on the DS, Tactics Advance on the GBA, Dirge of Cerberus on PS2, Advent Children DVD, official guide books for 3,7,8,9,10, 12 and Tactics. Oh I also have a starter pack for XI, but I haven't played it (I probably never will, not particularly interested).

I have all the original picture discs for 7, 8 and 9, but unfortunately two of my original discs for 8 are scratched and don't work. I replaced them with discs from the platinum version (I still have the originals, they just don't work).
 
Cloud, Barret and Cid were unbeatable, Cid had by FAR and away the best lvl 4, hero drink spam could net you about half a million damage :D. He was by far and away the coolest too.
 
FF7 is still the best game ever

Just nothing comes close to it in terms of story line and immersion, as well as being so addictive

If it had the graphics to boot it would be as close to perfect as games come

Aeries dying is still the most moving moment in any game, COD4 came close quite a few times especially after the nuke
 
I used Cloud, Yuffie and Vincent.

Red XIII is better than vincent but Vincent is cooler so I used him. Plus when I was a Kid and first played it Vincent's birthday is the same date as mine so that made it a lot cooler:p

Plus with long range materia on cloud all three are long range characters. Also Yuffie's final weapon is awesome and makes her quick, powerful and good with magic.

That is probably the most nerdy post I have ever written!
 
I can;t even rememebr the game in as much detail as people here do. I certainly can't remember which 3 characters I played as!! It was 10 years ago ffs!!

All I know is it was amazing.

I used Could, Tifa and Barret, i did level up all my other characters at the same time, but when it came to a storyline part of the game i liked to keep the three of them together for affections sake. I was a special kid.

Damn it, just dug out my old copy, gonna have to play it again.

They kill a Weapon at Junon with the big canon.
Then they transfer the cannon to Midgar where they kill Diamond Weapon after you delay it.

So the cannon kills a weapon at Junon and at Midgar.
 
Cloud - Tifa - Vincent.

That was my lineup - Tifa 'cause I kinda got attached to her as far as Cloud + Tifa goes (I always do that - Main Guy + Main Girl + Other + Other (in the case of the FFIX) and Vincent 'cause well, he's cool. :D

I loved leveling up early on and being level 50ish at Nibelheim and killing Lost Number in but a few hits, lol.
