Just started playing this again! Love this game! Anyone else still play it?

Wish they would have made the remake when they made the ps3's tech demo!

Climhazzard has got to be one of the best names for an ability/attack ever.

:Edit: Love the music, but on the whole I have to admit I prefer FFVIII.

FFVIII is 2nd on my list of all time games!

Just love the whole set up of 7 and the story line is greate also :D

In 8, I tend to get carried away in playing cards too much haha

Oh I lost many hours to this game.. Epic story, great, memorable characters..

One of the best games ever made.

I dread to think how many hours I spent on this game.

I even went through the game saving at every development in the story on a seperate file, and maxed Aeris level only to 1/2 shot the last boss before she died... in an attempt that Sephiroth wouldn't be able to kill her ... oh man, I don't even know the hours I spent grinding her to that level eaither on mobs that gave little exp..........

I didn't even know they released VII and VIII on PC!
I may have to get it!
But on the PS1 VII was the most epic game. I wasn't too keen on VIII. X was amazing though.

I have both VII and VIII for the PC and to be honest these days, it looks like crap. Too many glitches and incompatibility problems. Sure, you can download some fan-mods to make the game better (Like using the PSOne version's music instead of the crappy PC's MIDI), but the fact that you have to do that makes it moot. I find that if you have a Windows 95/98 era hardware PC (Voodoo 2/3), these games run perfect, Hardware Acceleration and everything, bar the crappy MIDI music!

With the PSN down at the moment, at least it gives me time to play them on the PS3.

Oh, Aeris..

I dare say that was probably the first time a game gave me a true emotional moment. That probably sounds stupid but prior to FFVII games had been shooters, fighters, racing games etc.. Nothing with moments like that.

I have a PSP with FFVII and VIII on the memory card. It is really the only reason to have one. I pick it up occasionally. It's amazing how i still remember where everything is and how to to things all these years on.

Phantasy Star 2 predates this.

How much did you enjoy the game?!

Nah seriously though, I think VIII was a better game, but the story of VII was better, and as already said, that card game was addictive!

I wouldn't be surprised if i spent just as much time playing the card game as i did playing through the actual story in ff8. It was really addictive, and pretty damn hard at times, especially when trying to obtain some of the rarer/more powerful cards.
