The memory will work fine but if you can afford it I'd go for 2gb, if you want branded then Geil Value 2gb kit is pretty cheap, if you aren't so bothered about brand names then OcUK 2gb kit will do fine.

If you are willing to try overclocking then I'd drop down to the X2 3800 as there isn't much difference in potential between the two chips as far as I am aware and you will save money which can then be spent on a better graphics card/more Ram.

Of the cards listed I'd get either the X1800XT 512mb for £60 more or the X1800XT 256mb for ~£20 more than the X1800XL. If you really want the TV features of the AIW card then go for it otherwise you would be better off buying an X1800XT.

Of the motherboards I have heard the first one listed isn't great for massive overclocks(i.e. altering voltages by a lot etc) but it offers good value and reasonable overclocks, just ask BigDom :)

The Corsair value RAM will be fine, even if you plan to overclock - just put it on a divider.

Don't get the 4200, either get a 3800, or go for a 4400. The 3800 will clock just as well as the 4200, and the 4400 has the extra cache. :)

Well if you want it to be the best then you should get the X2 4400+ with the extra L2 cache!
If not overclocking the X2 4200+ is a very good CPU though.

The ram you have should be fine, as said above, but 2gig would be better.

The X1800XT (256 or 512MB) are the cards to go for, but the X1800XL cards are still good high end cards.

The A8R is fine for putting voltage in to. It just can't handle stuff above 1.6 on the vCore, which is a stupid amount to put into a processor anyway. It is a very good board.
